Christmas Day

I was working nights during the festive period, so I was really exhausted by the time I came home.

But not too tired to open presents!!

Hat & Glove Birthday Party, Fitzroy

Bettina and Ulrik just came from Germany to be exchange students in post-grad law.

Bettina's new housemates threw a house party, themed Hats and Gloves.

There were actors and philosophers and psychologists.

Some of them had JUST arrived from Germany that very week.

It's so nice to arrive in a foreign country and immediately be welcomed by a party, haha.

Some of the people got drunk and thought they were Michael Jackson: sporting the one-glove look.

Jane gave us a little adventure walking up and down Brunswick St in the middle of the night looking for a vegetarian kebab seller (who DOES exist!).
Box Hill RMO Party, Golden Monkey

James invited us to the Box Hill RMO party. I took it as an opportunity to catch up with Gaya, who's moving to Newcastle too!!

It was pretty impressive, James managed to get a whole gang of people to go for this party- and we didn't even WORK at Box Hill. Thanks to their Residents Society who supplied the bar tab, making us all happy and smiley..

Went with Ruba for a sari fitting.

The seamstress was soooo difficult. The sari was meant for pick up that day, but some stuff needed alteration and both the sewing machines were broken! Who ever heard of a seamstress without a working sewing machine?

We cheered ourselves up by watching Four Holidays later with Mandy.

When I work nights, I spend my days doing the wierdest things.

Seokming came over and we had fun making super rich peanut butter chocolate cake.

It was amazing to taste, but so so rich we couldn't eat more than a few bites.

Dracula's Restaurant

Dracula's is one of those restaurants where there is a performance while you eat. This one was goth-inspired. We were a little late so we missed the haunted house ride. All the wait staff were dressed up like monsters.

The food was good, the show was excellent, the comedians hilarious. They even found out where we were from and incorporated it into the acts.

I'd definitely recommend it. When they change shows, I'd probably even go again!

Hadn't seen my friends for awhile, so thought I'd do a Decorating Party too. It was crazy hard work to prepare for, but luckily I had lots of help:

The guests decorated...

I did a lot of sweating in the kitchen, coming out with JUST enough food for everyone.

The boys helped me.

Eggnog, sweeet...

Jane made mulled wine- yummm...

I'm happy because of the Christmas music I got from Allan.

End result.. beautiful!!
